The new Madison Square Garden Official App makes everything smoother and simpler, with express lanes at many food concessions and a range of conveniences.
It’s a familiar moment for sports fans and concertgoers:
Riveted by the action, you take advantage during a pause in play or an intermission to dash to the concession stands only to encounter a deflating sight — a line that may keep you from a quick return to your seat. MSG thinks it has the answer in a new app that can speed you through on designated food and merchandise lines and make the entire guest experience swifter and smoother.
With the new Madison Square Garden Official App, you can purchase and upgrade tickets and receive tips on navigating your way to The Garden for Knicks and Rangers games and all concerts. And simply downloading the app will allow you to use the App Express Lane at the 7th Avenue entrance.
The Madison Square Garden Company has a singular objective — to enhance the guest experience by providing a new level of ease and simplicity. During a recent Knicks game, Lynda Dauphin and her fiancé, Damian Horsford, tapped out an order from their seats in section 120. They got an “in progress” update, and their two hot dogs and two sodas were waiting for them at the express lane at the Garden Market on the Madison Concourse.
Nearby, Joseph Valerio went more of the gourmet route. He came away from the express line at Senzai Sushi with an Emperor Platter, a Ninja Platter, two orders of edamame, two spicy tuna rolls and four plates of salmon sashimi. (To be clear, he had ordered for himself and two friends.)
Quick To The Garden, Fast To Your Seat
After rolling out the new convenience for all concerts and then for the start of the hockey and basketball seasons this fall, several fan favorites now accept orders from the app — including signature choices like Casa Nonna Pizza, Daily Burger by Drew Nieporent, Kobeyaki and Fuku.
The app provides a number of shortcuts and tips — with everything from helping you find parking near The Garden to locating the shortest route to your seats. Through the app, guests also have the chance to order Knicks or Rangers merchandise and have it delivered to their seats.
Another fan at a recent Knicks game, Thomas Ellis, said he was captivated by the team’s young roster and was grateful the new app saved him time away from his seat. “I like to get into the game and think about nothing else,” he said. “So absolutely, this is a real good thing.”
